The city’s only museum, the Mandralisca Museum was born from the collecting passion of Baron Enrico Piraino of Mandralisca (1809–1864). Housed in his historic residence, the museum preserves a valuable collection of archaeological artifacts, coins, Oriental porcelain, and works of art, including the famous Portrait of an Unknown Man by Antonello da Messina.
